0:00
Ready when you are.
How it works

Count up from zero for as long as you need

Press Start or Space to begin, and the digits count up from 0:00. Past an hour they show the hours too, as in 1:05:30.

The disc fills clockwise from the top once an hour. Then it starts again over a lightly shaded disc, with a dot below the centre for each full hour, up to six.

Pause or Space stops the clock. Resume carries on from the same time. R resets it to 0:00 and F fills the screen, where the browser allows it.

While it runs, the screen stays on where the browser allows it. If you switch to another tab, the time is still right when you come back, because it is worked out from your device’s clock. That holds unless the browser reloads the tab to save memory, as phones often do.

Once the page has loaded, the stopwatch sends nothing, with an account or without. It keeps no history. The one thing it keeps is what you pick with the light or dark and theme buttons at the top, in your look cookie. A reload, or closing the tab, takes it back to 0:00.

A link can set it up. Add ?start=1 to start it as the page opens, or ?obs=1 for a clear background in streaming software. Light or dark for that visit is ?look=light or ?look=dark. Join them with &, as in /stopwatch?start=1&obs=1.

When you want a record

Count up and keep each run

The focus timer can count up on the same disc, and it keeps each run and how long it lasted. Choose Stopwatch in its Settings, under Timer. It asks every 30 minutes whether you are still going, so a tab left open never counts for hours.

For a countdown, the visual timer shows the time left on the same disc. The Pomodoro timer runs focus and breaks in turn. None of them needs a sign-up.
