Delete it yourself
Open the timer and sign in to the account you want to delete. Then:
- Open Settings → Account and find Delete this account.
- Want a copy first? Press Export your data first. It saves your data as a file.
- Press Delete it, type your handle where it asks, then press Delete permanently.
- Confirm it is you, with your passkey or, if you have no passkey, a code sent to your email. Signing in within the last ten minutes counts.
That is all. There is no undo, and no copy is kept for you.
What goes at once
Everything held under your account is removed from the live database as soon as you confirm:
- Your handle, display name and email address, if you added one.
- Your passkeys, your recovery codes, the devices you signed in on and any reminders you turned on.
- Your runs, breaks, subjects, tasks, to-do list, day totals, themes and achievements.
- Your invite links, every record of who invited whom that names your account, and how you found us.
- Feedback you sent with your handle added.
- Your place on the weekly email’s list. Your address leaves the list at once.
What stays, and for how long
Some things are not part of your account, or take time to go. The privacy page has the full detail.
- Backups. A nightly job takes your account out of the backups, a few copies each night. Reaching every copy can take several months. Until then the copies stay private. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also keeps a 30-day history of the live database. It holds a deleted account until it rolls past it (backups).
- Visit records. Pages you opened while signed in stay linked to your account until they are 90 days old. Then they go.
- Security records. Any record of a request that looked like an attack stays for up to 90 days. It no longer says which account sent it, and it loses the full address.
- Emails. Deleting your account does not delete emails you sent us, or any the site’s admin sent you from the site. They are not linked to it. They stay until their time is up (emails). Emails to privacy@logicfire.app are kept for 7 years. To have one removed sooner, write to that address.
- Groups you made. A group stays for its other members, with its name, and one of them takes it over. A group nobody else is in goes with your account.
- A limited-edition theme’s number. If you held one, its number stays retired, with nothing to say whose it was. It is never given again.
- The weekly email. If you were on its list, a scrambled form of your address stays for 2 years. It is proof that you asked for the email.
- Reddit. If you made your account after clicking one of our Reddit ads, Reddit may hold the message the site sent it about that sign-up. Deleting your account here does not take it back from Reddit.
If you can’t sign in
Try to get back in first. Choose Sign in, then Sign in with a passkey and pick your account. If your account has an email address, Continue with email sends you a code instead. If you lost your device and kept your recovery codes, open Lost your device? and enter one. Then follow the steps above.
If none of that works, write to privacy@logicfire.app. Say you want your account deleted and give your handle. We may ask you something to check the account is yours. A person reads each email, so it can take a while, and we can’t promise a day.
Your email is kept as a record, like any email to that address, for 7 years. To close a child’s account, a parent or guardian can write to the same address.
